Precision Resource Company is currently seeking a Senior Boiler Design Engineer to be based out of Wilsonville, AL.
Estimated Duration of Work Assignment: 12-18 months (longer term possible)
Project- TROC(TM) Development
Design of internals of a supercritical boiler.
Work with process engineers and vessel engineers in development activities.
Generation and review of technical specifications including equipment/material specifications
Desired Qualifications :
This position will be responsible for providing engineering design and analysis for the Gasification Technology Vessel Mechanical Group on developmental applications. Work will primarily be related to development of a new moving bed heat exchanger/boiler design integrated into a circulating bed combustor. Candidate will be responsible for providing boiler/steam generator/heat exchanger design experience including configuration, metallurgy, constructability, and maintainability.
Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering preferred. Highly experienced non-degree candidates will be considered.
Significant experience in boiler and/or moving bed heat exchanger design.
Detailed knowledge of mechanical engineering and heat exchange design principles.
Significant experience working with design codes and standards including ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
Must be comfortable working in an engineering design office and/or plant construction environment.
Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and/or within a team.
Working knowledge of common MS office applications
Preference may be given for the following skills:
Masters or PhD in Engineering
Professional Engineer license.
AutoCAD experience Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
